'The News from Lake Wobegon'

LW Whippets played fast-pitch softball against the woman's Whole Wheat Wildcats. They were out for blood and yelled mean things. The Whippets scored three runs on a bad call and were leading 3 to 2. In the 9th, the runner charging from 3rd creamed the catcher. Old Man Schultz, the umpire, called her out and barely made it to his car. The LW fire department will burn down a derelict house for the 4th of July. The Grand 0le Opry from WSM in Nashville. You could only hear it during the winter if you ran a 120 feet aerial. Everybody sat very still and hear just Minnie Pearl's straight lines. LW used to have a bunch of practical jokers. The oldest practical joke was tipping over an outhouse. It was terrifying to the people inside .
