'The News from Lake Wobegon'

The Upsula Ooftas beat the Whippets 25 to 2. Next week they play a womens' slow-pitch soft ball team from the Grain Handler's Union. Carl K caught a 12-pound carp. He opened it and found two Lincoln head pennies and a LWHS 1958 class ring that belonged to a women that he had dated. He also found a foil from a bottle of pink champagne. Who's drinking pink champagne? LW has very few secrets since everybody tells. GK tries to dig out old Keillor secrets from the aunt who knows. Uncle Al and Aunt Faye eloped in June, fifty years ago. They were married by a JP at midnight. Incredible. GK wanted to be invisible to learn secrets. Nobody talks about the Irish Catholic Purnell side of the family. They're also related to the Krepsbachs. He remembers running naked through the corn rows of great uncle Frank Pumell's farm. The farm is now six 6-story buildings. We are running our of Krepsbachs and Purnells.
