'The News from Lake Wobegon'

Minnesotans going to AZ. Moose Skoglund is looking after Pastor Ingquist's children while they vacation in FL. He talks about playing hockey in the Northern League. Kate asked Uncle Richard to coach the girl's hockey team but he said he could not deal with the parents. He described his most memorable game, the 5111 and final championship game between the Yukon Dogs and the Point Barrow Bears at Point Barrow. All of the fans were drunk. They played wonderful hockey and the first period ended in a 1-1 tie. In the second period, Moose got a penalty and the Bears scored and it was 2-1. The Bears scored two more goals in the 3rd period. The Dogs scored to make it 4 to 2. Moose got another penalty with only 2-1/2 minutes to go but his teammate, Sherman, scored to make it 4 - 3. His penalty ended and Moose scored with 6 seconds to go. The crowd was totally silent as their hangovers set in. Two minutes into overtime, the Dogs won on a fluke goal. Actually, the timekeeper had missed 20 seconds.
