Guy Noir- Private Eye Mojave Mutual Funds The Lives of the Cowboys
Arlene B talked Clarence into going to Florida to visit Jean and Art. Art used to be a Presbyterian minister. Clarence had just come back from visiting his old friend, Jack, who was on his death bed. He asked Clarence to start his car for him. Pastor and Judy I are in FL at the minister's retreat. Pastor l's cousin, Richard - Moose Skoglund, is looking after their children. He was the best athlete in LW HS and then he worked for 20 years playing hockey for the Yukon Dogs in the Northern League. They played a bit of hockey between the fights. In the off-season, Moose spent all of his money on a series of girl friends. The women reminded him of xx, his LW class mate, who was the best musician. They broke up when he pounded a boy she was talking to. She got a job as a rehearsal pianist and then as a prompter at the NY Met. She had an affair with a baritone. Moose slipped on the ice going to work as a bouncer at the Roundup Bar and threw out his back. His old HS sweetheart wrote describing her affair with the baritone. Now she realizes that happiness is in the middle.
Winter finally arrived. GK is exhausted by their new baby girl. Guy Noir: Guy is looking for Lulu when Sugar and her therapist walk in. Lives of the Cowboys: Dusty and Lefty are working as chicken chokers in fast food restaurant. Lefty lets the chickens go and serves rats instead. /
Winter Song by Garrison:
They say it might get down to 30 below Nothing but bare trees and miles of snow You ask why we live in this desolate spot And I tell you it’s simple: because they do not
Those people in loud clothes with very big hair And very big pickups and not much upstairs And they’re crazy for Elvis and banana cream pie And they think that space aliens live somewhere nearby. They live in a trailer by a big parking lot At 6 in the morning, already it’s hot. They sit in their lounge chairs in that Miami dawn And drink beer for breakfast as the cartoons come on.
And the dad is holding a snake, a big cottonmouth The way people do down there in the South There’s snakes in the attic and snakes down below And he says, come on, Jim Bob, let’s go get some more. And they jump in the pickup and head for the marsh While the women stay home and hang up the wash And tend to the babies and fix gator stew Now what if these people live next to you? The only condition that keeps them away Is the fact that it will hit minus 30 today.
Winter is a challenge but it can be faced, When you’re among people of pretty good taste.
