'The News from Lake Wobegon'

Easter Sunday at the Catholic Church with the Duffers and Krugers. GK visited LW for Easter. It turned cold. Only Ella Anderson planted her Big Boy and Beef Eater tomatoes. She gardens from a sitting position because she can no longer kneel. GK was early for the service so he drove around and saw Donny Sloglund. His boy tossed him a basketball and made two straight shots. In the 1957 state finals against St. Francis, he took a similar shot and missed. To spite Donny, GK went to Our Lady. In the Catholic Church, eyes look out to you and the hands reach out to you. Nothing surprises them. Fr. Wilmer said the mass, rather than Father Emil. Nogebow.Ekal (two boys and two girls) sang the songs. The church was packed, especially the back pews. The visiting Krugers and their kids were squeezed in by the old guys. The song was, "Jesus Is My Special Friend." The guitarist missed the chord in the chorus. Mr. Magndanz sits on the balcony and controls the PA system. He is nearly deaf. The PA went into feedback. We are watching Ella's tomatoes.

Other mentions/discussions during the show
