'The News from Lake Wobegon'

It's been unseasonably warm all week. The choir can be heard from the Lutheran Church Timmy Marklund, the choir director, has been too hard on them so they sing "Tiptoe through the tulip" to warm up. Senator K left the choir because he forgot that he was in it. The sound was much better. Senator K missed the route to the Chatterbox and wound up in the confessional. Fr. Wilmer holds traditional confession for old geezers. Myrtle told Fr. about her problem with Florian. Fr. Wilmer told the joke about the couple who wanted a divorce after 75 years of marriage. Florian gave his confession. Next came Senator K. They hauled him off to the hospital and gave him medication. His memory came back and he remembered old faults from 70 years ago. GK remembers walking when he was 11 months old. Myrtle is carrying on a ferocious campaign to move into a seniors high rise in St. Cloud. Florian bought a 55 Ford and a 56 Chevy as ballast. After a furious tirade from Myrtle, Florian kissed her on the neck.
