'The News from Lake Wobegon'

October is a perfect time, almost too perfect, but you can rely on winter. Winter keeps other people out of MN. The Sidetrack Tap was closed because of Wally's triple bypass operation. Wally reopened briefly to be welcomed back. Clint stayed around because Irene has been giving him a hard time about their daughter, Cecilia, and her new boy friend, Kenneth. Clint drove to the Sportsman's Bar in Albany to avoid going home. Carl Krepsbach stopped in to check up. Clint talked about a man who played a stunt baby. Carl told the story about his nephew, Francis, who married Ginger. Ginger's child fell out of a window and broke an arm. She felt so bad that she took the credit card, wrote a note, and left home. He got two crank telephone calls. He went to bed. He woke up and realized that Ginger had come home. He could tell that she was all right. They never spoke of it again.

Other mentions/discussions during the show
