'The News from Lake Wobegon'

It's been a beautiful September. Inhaling the odor of September while picking a fresh squash. Children run around in a Fall night. GK was an obsessive worker who tried to please other people. GK ratted on a school classmate who smoked. He was a rival who told better booger jokes. Listening to the radio adventures of the Flambeau family. Aunt Flo loved to read gory murders in the paper. His aunts had their hair done in helmet hair style. Aunt Ruth would get all of the dirt at the beauty salon. Mr. Dupree, the school custodian was fired for drinking because somebody squealed on him. Small towns need sinners because a good sense of guilt makes them volunteer to serve on committees.

Other mentions/discussions during the show

Testing Tom Keith replacements. Guy Noir. Tracking down Delphine Johnson who sells illegal term papers. Opening of the Lake Wobegon bike trail. Poem for autumn.
