'The News from Lake Wobegon'

The Christmas tree fell on Ernie who went back to the Sidetrack for anudder one. All LW kids are smart and were eager to go back to school. Sister Arvanne can inspire pure logic. How can parents give order and direction when the washing machine is jumping, the soup is boiling over and the phone is ringing. The NBF Winkler brothers. Roman was big and hard working, trying to grow hybrid seed com on a terrible plot of land. Leon was slight and dreamy. Sometimes he would stay in bed all day reading. At age 67, Leon built a sod house. Flowers bloomed all year long on the roof from the heat of the wood stove. When Leon died, Roman buried him in his bed by pulling the props so the roof caved in. One year Roman forgot and plowed over the plot. The patch of seed com was superlative. Leon should be here to see it.
