'The News from Lake Wobegon'

The volunteer fire department completed the skating rink. The old Sons of Knute turn graceful when they strap on their skates. Romance bloomed for many young people when they skated together. A few Christmas lights are up. Bud does not want to put. up the municipal light without a cherry picker, but that costs $150 per day. Ralph's has 300 pounds of lutefisk for the Lutheran dinner. The Our Lady Christ Pageant will have a cast of 38. Sr. Anne Marie wrote new lines for Joseph. He asked if the baby was a boy or a girl, which gave Fr. Emil a start. GK's great uncle, one of the LW patriarchs, took his 1957 Oldsmobile from the blocks and took off for the south.
