If a stranger shows up in LW, people assume that he is lost. They look down on visitors as having not much use. GK left LW twenty years ago. People would still say things are "fine" if it wasn't. GK used to believe that LW was like concrete but now he knows that it really quite fragile. Describing the route to L W as he drives back. Now he is afraid that LW may not survive. The Unitarian missionaries failed to convert the Ojibway Indians. Then the Norwegian Lutherans and German Catholics came. LW survived the 1877. The four teams of surveyors discovered that they had surveyed too much Minnesota so they folded under the middle corner of their map. It was the feast day of St. Francis. Father Emil blessed the all of the animals. Father Emil is allergic to most of the animals. It was the annual installation of the storm windows at the Sons of Knute Lodge. They clean the place up for a bit. Then they taste the hops. Brother Bob and Sister Verna came to town for four nights of revival preaching. People come early so that they can sit further to the back. Brother Bob's teaching is merciless and he carries on as long as it takes. The Sorensen had their 4th anniversary. Harlen took too many drinks. Brother Bob came to visit Harlen who was carrying his head under arm. Harlen reached for the shot gun pointed at his head and said that unless Brother Bob left immediately, he would blow his head off and take his chances. Father Emil believes that Protestants do this out of boredom for an inferior theology.
