The exiles left LW to get away from their dark Lutheran families. GK wasn't a rebel. Cousin Rosemary was a rebel. She had long legs, short hair and big grin and went straight for what she wanted. At eighteen, she headed for California and studied Phy Ed at SF State. She got into all kinds of trouble in the 70s. She won the Nude Miss Unitarian contest in 1972, which lead to a career as a topless standup comedian in a bar in SF. She joined the People's Circus and smoked industrial strength reefer. She gave up on men and moved off to Larkspur with her lover, Alice, who was handy with power tools. Rose and Alice went back to LW for a visit. Rose was shattered by the experience. She bemoaned her upbringing and blames her parents. Her parents were just happy to see her. Alice used her power tools to make cabinets. When you rebel against your parents and run away, you never get over it. The child that stays home sees the parents diminish. You should be thankful, cheerful, make yourself useful and avoid self pity at all costs.
Guy Noir - Private Eye: A tour bus load full of elderly MN Lutherans disappears in SF. Guy finds them with the mystic, Ardot, and releases them. GK talks to RM about living in SF and earthquakes. Lefty and Dusty are street entertainers in SF.
