This show was a REBROADCAST
The Original Performance Date was 2014-10-04

This week: a trip back to 2014 and our October 4 broadcast from the Fitzgerald Theater in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Ellis brings a batch of songs across the river from Minneapolis, including "Red Light" and "I've Got a Thing for You," and bluegrass ambassadors The Gibson Brothers play "They Called it Music" and "Eastbound Train." Plus: Dusty and Lefty tangle with Big Messer in a "state capitals" contest; a visit to the Cafe Boeuf St. Paul; and in Lake Wobegon, the Lutheran Church holds its Senior Banquet.
Notes from Ellis about this weekend's rebroadcast: I was so excited that Garrison asked me back for my third appearance on the show along with the talented Gibson Brothers. He was in a playful mood, and before my last song he joked with me about our 'upcoming duet business' where he reserved the right to sing on all the high parts. I expressed my enthusiasm about the idea after the end of the show and he gently hinted perhaps not. Alas. I'm so excited to relive the fun listening to this re-broadcast!
