"A fine night at the Rialto in Joliet, a crowd of 600, and it all felt easy and happy, thanks to a spirited crowd. Went to breakfast this morning and a security man came over to the table and asked for my autograph. I said, "I thought I was under house arrest." He said, "Well, we could do that too." He works at Harrah's casino, a retirement job, he's 70, a sweet guy from the South Side of Chicago, worked for a car assembly plant here until it shut down. His kids are all doing okay, married, making their way. He said, "I'm not worried for myself, I'm worried for my grandchildren" Climate change, the tornadoes in Kentucky. This is an interesting payoff for being recognizable. The guy had listened to PHC for years. He saw me and came over and we were instant pals. I'm too socially inept to strike up with strangers so I had to go into radio to meet people and now in my old age I keep meeting them. (He thought the show last night was very funny.) Off to Michigan"
